“Success is where preparation and opportunity meet” – Bobby Unser

Since you are reading this, you must be wondering “Who the hell is this girl and what is this blog about?” Well, wonder no more! This blog is about my journey in America and how you can start your journey as well.

I came to the US for the first time in 2011 to take part in a year-long cultural exchange program called ISE. During this time, I was living with a host family who taught me much of the Midwestern lifestyle that I am now very accustomed to. I was attending a local high school where most of my college preparation took place. After 4 years of college and 19 months of working in the industry, I finally graduated with a Bachelor degree in chemical engineering. After working in the field for a bit, I decided to switch into software engineering and have been doing this since 2019.

I hope this blog can help answer some of your questions about studying abroad in the US and how to make the most of it. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions and I will try my best to point you in the right direction. Cheers!
